Therapy for Anxiety in Alpharetta & Online Across GA
Quiet your mind, calm your body, & get your life back.
Constantly worrying takes a toll on your nerves, especially when you can’t always explain why you feel this way—even to yourself.
You’ve been trying to get through each day while your mind races ahead of you, looping through worries you can’t shut off, no matter how hard you try. Some days it feels impossible to start anything because the moment you think about it, your chest tightens, your thoughts speed up, and you brace for some undefined “bad” thing to happen. You’ve tried talking yourself out of it and pushing through, but fear keeps showing up in ways you weren’t expecting.
You’re here because you…
Lie awake with your mind spinning so fast you can’t fall asleep, and by morning, you already feel behind on a day that hasn’t even started.
Avoid things you used to be able to handle, like work, school, errands, or plans with friends, because staying home feels safer than risking a surge of anxiety in public.
Second-guess everything, replaying conversations and worrying about what could go wrong instead of relaxing at the end of the day.
Experience panic attacks, with a racing heart, shortness of breath, sweating, or an overwhelming wave of dread.
Have been told by doctors that it’s “just anxiety,” but the physical symptoms feel so real you don’t fully trust that explanation.
Have watched your teen or young adult child struggling with anxiety and think they might need professional support.
You deserve to feel safe inside your own mind & more present in your life.
How we can help
Let’s figure out what your anxiety is trying to tell you at a pace that feels right for you.
-
We’ll go over your routines, responsibilities, and overall sense of how things are going so we understand where you’re coming from. You don’t have to come in with everything figured out ahead of time, and you can say as much or as little as you want in the initial intake paperwork—we’ll be able to cover what’s important without making the process more stressful than it needs to be.
-
We’ll look at the patterns that keep pulling you into fear, break them down, and practice strategies you can use in real moments when worry comes up. We pull tools from methods like DBT to help you manage the intensity of your anxiety and stay in alignment with how you want to live.
And because anxiety doesn’t wait for your next session, you’ll have access to between-session coaching when you need help remembering or using those tools. That means you can call or text your therapist and they’ll get back to you as soon as possible, free of charge.

That could mean meeting weekly for a while, then moving to less frequent appointments once things feel more manageable, or adjusting our approach as life changes. Therapy isn’t something you have to get “right.” It’s a space where we work side by side, paying attention to what’s helping and finding solutions for whatever comes up.
Therapy for anxiety can help you…
Feel calmer in your body, even under stressful circumstances.
Learn to notice early signs of anxiety and use specific coping skills that help your body settle before things intensify. Over time, moments that used to send you into panic start to feel more under control and less overwhelming. Feeling safer in your own body becomes something you can create, not something you hope for.
Interrupt spirals before they take over your whole day.
Stop “what ifs” in their tracks before they snowball into hours of worry, and practice ways to pause, slow down your thinking, and redirect your attention. The thoughts may still show up, but they won’t control you the way they used to.
Face daily life with more confidence and less avoidance.
Whether you want to be better about going to work, keeping up with school, running errands, or showing up to the plans you’ve been canceling, therapy can help you take small steps back into the parts of life anxiety pushed you away from. As you build trust in yourself, you start confidently approaching situations that may have once felt impossible. Each step reinforces that you’re more capable than your anxiety has led you to believe.
Live more in the present and make room for joy.
Get better at noticing when your mind jumps to the worst-case scenario and learn how to shift your focus back to what’s actually happening in front of you. This gives you more room to enjoy everyday moments without worry weighing on you. Over time, you can begin to feel less defined by your anxiety and more connected to the life you want to be living.
You don’t have to let anxiety run your life.
Together, we can reclaim your peace of mind.

Panic attacks often feel like you can’t breathe, your heart is pounding out of your chest, or the world around you feels unreal, and some people even feel sure they’re dying. Those sensations are terrifying, but they’re also treatable once you know how to recognize the early signs. We’ll help you understand what’s happening in your body and teach you skills to interrupt the panic cycle before it takes over.

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Kirsten Moore can provide diagnostic clarity if you want to know whether you’re experiencing generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, PTSD, or something else. That is your choice, and we do not prescribe but can refer to a prescriber or collaborate with yours. Some people use medication to take the edge off their symptoms, and others prefer to learn skills alone, to feel calmer without relying on medication. A combination of both can be most effective while you are initially learning skills. We can talk openly about your concerns, help you understand your options, and support you in whatever route feels best for you.
